Obama’s Pastor
“We started the AIDS virus”? Heh.
Via Hot Air, where AP posted it in response to the left’s outrage over Hagee and McCain. He writes:
Frankly, I consider this to be an even more important issue than Hagee. After all, McCain doesn’t visit Hagee’s church on a weekly basis. There’s no connection there, no spiritual relationship. Obama, however, does have a relationship - and a very important one at that - with his pastor, who you just heard preaching hatred of America basically.
It’s not politically correct to say this, but I’m going to say it nonetheless: saying “I don’t agree with everything he ever said” shouldn’t be enough. This pastor plays a very big role in Obama’s life, and he lets himself be influenced by him heavily. He and his wife often use religious rhetoric which means that they don’t seem to be all that much in favor of a 100% separation of religion and state.
No, this should be an issue. Obama should completely distance himself from his Pastor.
He won’t, simply no one will push him to do what he should do (black racism isn’t considered to be a true problem by many liberals).
And no, this isn’t an attempted smear, this is truly what I think of this issue. If Obama was white, and his preacher as well, and you would have replaced black with white and vice versa, the entire media would be all over Obama. In fact, his campaign would have been dead already.

I honestly don’t think it accomplishes anything to complain that Obama cannot be held accountable for the words of his former pastor while continuing to trot out the words of other people’s possible associates for comparative purposes.
The time for “tough love” was a year ago when Obama discovered what a bigoted jerk that “reverend” is. Since then he has spoken of him in glowing terms and telling us how much he admires him. Now is too freakin’ late. He tied his wagon to that church and that leader and it will drag him down. It is obvious the man has no spine.
My wife and I who are newly married have been looking for a church. We think we have found one. We have been there for 6 weeks. Recently the local body of the denomination took a vote from the pastors of its churches as to whether or not to allow homosexuals as ministers. Our pastor voted it down. If he would not have, my wife and I would have immediately left the church. For the RACIALLY-DIVERSE LEFTIST CULT OBJECT Obama to deny that he has ever sat in the pew over a span of 20 years while his virulent racialist pastor preaches hate, is absurd. If Obama’s views are not consistent with the views of his Farrakhanian pastor, then he would have left the church a long time ago.
I don’t defend what Obama’s pastor said, but it’s certainly no different that what Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, John Hagee, and other evangelical preachers have said many times. They all claimed that God was punishing America (God damned us) because we allowed gays in our culture.Obama’s pastor said that God damned America for our military aggression in other countries. They all said we’ve been “damned by God” - just for different reasons. As far as his racial comments go, remember that he grew up at a time when blacks didn’t have any rights and weren’t even allowed in most restaurants or public places. It was a “White Only” world then and there are still a lot of bad memories of the past. Wright’s words represent what a lot of older black people still feel.Obama is from a newer generation that didn’t have to suffer through all of the same things that his pastor did, so he doesn’t have that ingrained level of mistrust over past wrongs that were committed. I think Obama has done a pretty good job of explaning that already. He’s made it clear that the man is a friend, but he doesn’t agree with everything he says. I could say the same thing about members of my own family. This will get twisted out of context a zillion times, but I don’t give a crap. I’m satisfied with the words and actions of Obama and I certainly don’t hold him personally accountable for every word that comes out of someone else’s mouth. Now, let’s get back to talking about the important issues and the future of America, instead of this childish mud slinging. Our country is spiralling downward and we don’t need to waste any more time worrying about these stupid distractions that the right wingers keep throwing at us (remember how we spent an entire election year fighting about “gay marriage” rather than talk about the REAL issues?).
I don’t condemn Obama for the words of his former pastor, and neither do I judge McCain or Clinton for statements made by people associated with them…and neither should you. They don’t have control over peoples minds, hearts or mouths. Judge the candidates by what they say and do.
Obama Is A Mac Daddy! Produced, directed and approved by the Hillary Clinton Campaign.
this is such a non-issue. if the things Obama’s pastor said (and i still don’t see how what he said was so bad) are the worst anybody can dig up on Obama then he has got to be the cleanest politician on earth. i can’t believe people are still tripping over this.
Dear God, put something in his mouth!
Wrights comments help manifest inferiority complexes and insecurities in African American youth, which in turn, creates a feudalistic attitude. They are separatist and could reverse 30 years of civil rights and anti segregation efforts put forth by the African American community. If what the Democrats are saying is true, that these kind of rants are duplicated in more than a third of “Black” churches, than African Americans need to do something to stop it. They need to do what it takes to rid the African American community of reverse prejudice and useless propaganda that does nothing more than bring the African American down. Barrak Obama needs to do more than politely separate himself from it, he needs to lead the charge. He needs to actually stand for change, instead of asking everyone else to believe in it.I have done nothing to prevent any “Black” man from reaching their financial goals. I’m fed up with reverse prejudice bigots who, in an effort to express their political views, do more to bring the Black man down than the white people they hate.
The funny thing is that what his pastor said is mostly true.. haha. we’re just too afraid to admit it..America HAS been killing and bombing counties for decades. 9/11 was a result of some of our campaigns in the middle east. Most of America IS controlled by whites…blacks, especially if you are from the pastor’s generation, have had it pretty bad.so wtf is the big deal?
These people are terrified that if Obama is elected, they’ll be lynched for “hating niggers.” Reverse racism!
What should people think? Obama attended a racist church…and spent his time and money there. You don’t spend your time and money at a place that is “repugnant” to you.Obama is a lying politician who is now in damage control mode because of his racist past.
Being the kind of “don’t believe in everything you see on television” person I am, I think this guy actually puts forth some points that could be argued. Basically he’s saying not to make the same mistakes our country has in the past by voting for a reason other than proven honor and integrity. I wonder if he’d be able to point this same rant at the honorable Colonel Colin Powell - I firmly don’t believe he could, or would.
HOW FUCKING DUMB ARE AMERICANS TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT OBAMA AFTER HEARING HIS 17 YEAR + PREACHER TALK LIKE THAT.ARE YOU PEOPLE RETARDED? SERIOUSLY??? I MEAN , WAKE UP PEOPLE.
I Like everyone, but racist. Black people can be racist too. No one should use that word, but I hear it everyday from Blacks and they say they hate it? Some Young Black Lady’s are very rude to Me when they first see Me. I don’t have any idea why. Most Men are nice to me all the time. I guess because I’m a Lady. Go figure.
