This week was not just about McMahon’s Millions. It was also about how life on SmackDown! would be without the Phenom. Tonight, we all got our answer in physical fashion.
Here now is the SmackDown! Rebound!
The show opens with highlights from the TLC Match @ One Night Stand followed by La Familia drinking champagne in the ring awaiting the arrival of their leader, Edge. As Edge makes his way to the ring, members of his crew are smiling and applauding. Vickie also makes the announcement that on July 11th on SmackDown!, she and Edge will officially get married. Bu
But before they could bask even more, Batista crashes the party and announces that he will challenge Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship. But Vickie changes plans and tells him that he will have to earn his spot by winning an eight man tag match later on tonight. Two catches, though: 1) She picks the opponent and 2) If Batista loses, he will never get another shot at the World Title again.
First Bout: Belfast Brawl- Finlay defeats Chuck Palumbo
The match begins with a slugfest that spills out and around the ring, but a cheap shot gives Palumbo the upper hand. As the fight continues, the toys start flying out and about as KO Palumbo uses a trash can to keep control of the match.
It isn’t until a drop toe hold into a trash can that Finlay recovers enough to go on the offensive. But again, Palumbo remains one step ahead and nails the Irishman with another can. He then goes out and grabs a chain from his bike. As he prepares to use the chain once again, Hornswoggle low blows him and provides enough distraction for Finlay to knock him silly with the chain for the victory.
As the show returns, the Big Show makes his appearance in the Staples Center as MVP looks on from a skybox. He talks about the Singapore Cane Match and his upcoming match against Kane for the ECW Championship at Night of Champions.

A man died after crashing into a parked car in Salt Lake City on Tuesday night.
Police are still trying to figure out what caused 22-year-old Tyler Buchi to swerve or drift into the opposite lane of travel and hit an unoccupied car near 1200 West and 400 South just after 10:45 p.m., said Salt Lake Police Lt. Rich Brede.
The impact pushed both vehicles into a pole, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Brede said. No one else was injured.

Tim Davis, rear pointing, gives instructions to local cyclists before they ride around the perimeter of the Village at Sandhills during a National Ride of Silence. Cyclists in Columbia and across the country rode in memory of cyclists killed by motorists. The cyclists wore signs on their back saying "To Honor those who have been injured or killed" and "Ride of Silence."
The only sounds in the parking lot Wednesday night were the clicking of dozens of cleats into bike pedals and the whir of spokes as cyclists filed out.
More than 70 riders — young and old — turned out at the Village at Sandhill for Columbia’s first Ride of Silence, an event that started in Texas in 2003 and serves the dual purpose of honoring riders who have been killed or injured and raising awareness of cyclists on the roads.
As they pedaled twice around the lot in Northeast Richland, many were thinking about their own personal run-ins with motorists or about fellow cyclists who had been killed.
They remembered people like Tom Hoskins, 49, who was killed in October during a ride in Lancaster County. Lee Anne Barry, 43, of Waxhaw, N.C., also was killed. A Greensboro, N.C., woman has been charged with two counts of reckless homicide in their deaths.
Kenny Supplee, 23, pulled down the neck of his jersey to show where his collarbone was broken when he was hit by a car in January in Myrtle Beach.
“He just kinda merged right into me. That’s the last thing I remember. I woke up in an ambulance,” he said.
He said it took two months to convince police the driver was at fault, and Supplee just received a check from the man’s insurance company to cover his medical bills, which included treatment for a concussion and a broken rib.

With access to songs from the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame inductees, there was plenty to choose from, but the Top 4's ranged from the predictable to downright catastrophic. The opening montage about the Hall of Fame and the suggestion that one of the Top 4 might wind up there one day was pushing it jusssst a little bit. On with the show…
David Cook: Out of all the songs, he picks Duran Duran's Hungry Like the Wolf ? Say which? Don't get me wrong, I love the song, but this was one of the most bizarre choices ever. And, sorry all you Cookloonies, it was just okay. The thing that makes Hungry Like the Wolf one of the best 80s songs is that driving synth line, which David substituted for bombastic rock. The vocal was growly and one note. Luckily, his cover of The Who's Baba O'Riley was a good recovery. He's sailing to the Top 2 with Tickle Me Archuleta.
Syesha Mercado: Proud Mary ? Really? I've seen drag queens do better performances. Creedence Clearwater Revival might have written it, but Tina Turner owns the song, and Syesha's copycat version — right down to the choreography — was pathetic. Randy said she was "in the zone," but he's totally out to lunch. Only TT should be allowed to do this song…EVER. Her second song, Sam Cook's classic A Change Is Gonna Come , was turned into a big, belty Whitney-esque number. Randy didn't like it, but Paula was crying and Simon thought it was great. Syesha comparing the Civil Rights-era touchstone to her journey on American Idol and then sobbing uncontrollably about it made me vomit in my mouth a little. Luckily, Jason Castro was so bad, she should be safe another week.

Somewhere between Spider-Man and the Hulk, you might just find Robert Downey Jr. in a can.
Box-office expectations were big—but not crazy big—for Iron Man, which kicks off the summer movie season tomorrow (or tonight at 8 p.m., if you want to be technical about it, and include the so-called "sneak" screenings).
"This is definitely no Spider-Man 3," says Jeff Bock, a box-office analyst for Exhibitor Relations Co. "But this is a huge comic-book property."
Bock's guess: Between $80 million and $100 million, and eventual status as the second biggest comic-book movie of the summer after the latest Batman adventure, The Dark Knight.
Paul Dergarabedian, president of the box-office tracking firm Media by Numbers, pegged a $75 million-$85 million opening—or, as he put it: "Higher than X-Men but less than Spider-Man."
"We don't have a lot to go on," Dergarabedian said. "This isn't a franchise yet."
Spider-Man 3, which was the latest chapter of its franchise, jump-started last summer with a phenomenal $151.1 million opening weekend.
But as 2003's Hulk reminds, it's not always about how you start. In the case of that critically panned comic-book movie, a $62 million opening gave way to a sputtering $132.2 million finish.
In the case of Iron Man, which stars Downey as a playboy genius-turned-armored crimefighter, Dergarabedian said a debut of $50 million or less would be disappointing, but not necessarily fatal.
"Because it's good, it's going to have legs," said Dergarabedian, who caught a screening a few weeks ago.
Rob M. Worley, founder of Comics2Film.com, agreed.
"I rank it among the better superhero movies," said Worley, who watched it Tuesday night. "It's the cool, hipster superhero movie."
At one point this afternoon, Rotten Tomatoes had tracked 31 early-bird reviews, and deigned all but two of them positive. Iron Man's "T-meter" reading stood at 93 percent.

IF THE story had broken today and not last week, most of us would have laughed it off as another April Fool’s Day media spoof.
“World’s First Pregnant Man,” said the headlines. And beside them was a picture of a naked and bearded Thomas Beatie, with a stomach bulge that could be a pregnancy - or just the first signs of a serious Guinness habit.
The poor man - or woman - says his family have been mostly unsupportive and even doctors and nurses have laughed in front of him.
No, it can’t be easy being the World’s First Pregnant Man. But imagine what it’s like being the World’s First Pregnant Man’s best mate?
Think about it. What if your best pal suddenly put his pint down, looked you straight in the eye and said: “Hey big man, I think I’m up the duff.”
I don’t know who Thomas Beatie hangs out with over in Oregon, but, if he’s really a regular guy, his mates will need as much professional help as he does.
Over a lifetime and a tsunami of swally, I’ve counselled pub mates through every problem life could throw at them.
Marital disputes, sexual hang-ups, financial strife - Big Boab’s psychiatric bar stool has heard them all. My finest hour was probably the day I talked Freakie Freddie out of committing suicide because he thought Attila, his monster pet Alsatian dog, was gay.
“I saw it with my own eyes, he was humping wee Bertie the beagle next door,” he wailed. “My Attila is… Jackie Trent.”
It took all my persuasive skills to convince him that Attila wasn’t, as he would say, “bent”.
It was only after I explained that dogs can do it with everything from a cushion to a human leg that Freakie began to calm down.

Muhammad was one of the most influential figures in human history. But who was the man behind the icon?
A cask by losing centre-piece or cant
Was never shattered so, as I saw one
Rent from the chin to where one breaketh wind.
Between his legs were hanging down his entrails;
His heart was visible, and the dismal sack
That maketh excrement of what is eaten.
Who is this poor man who has just been chopped in half and is literally wearing his guts for garters? And what precisely has he done to deserve such a gruesome fate?
Well, this is not a scene out of the latest slasher film but describes the eternal punishment dreamt up for Muhammad by Dante in his Divine Comedy. The Muslim prophet was condemned by this Italian poet to the ninth bolgia (ditch) of the eighth circle of hell, reserved for “disseminators of scandal and of schism”.
Compare Dante’s words with those of the Sufi scholar Shah Abdul Lateef Bhitai:
Oh Moon, never mind if
I tell you the truth
Sometimes you are dim
Sometimes you are bright
Still, your brightness is not equal
To an atom of the dust
From the foot of Muhammad

[Best Syndication] How did a man get blue skin? Dr. Oz discusses how a regular man now has blue skin on ‘Oprah’ TV show today. Oprah said this is the first time that they ever had a blue man on the show.
It is not makeup. Paul Karason saw an ad that had showed the benefits of using a colloidal silver generator. They would make a glass of colloidal silver for his friend’s petroleum poisoning. His friend had the possible petroleum poisoning and didn’t want to have him feel left out so he would drink the liquid also. He said that he noticed that he had improvement on how his stomach felt.
Dr. Oz said that colloidal silver is an old remedy. Argyria is the name for the medical condition when the blue gets into your cells and causes discoloration. It is the equivalent of getting a tattoo all over your body. Dr. Oz said that colloidal silver was used in an antibiotic and is used in medicine for certain conditions and newborn infants eyes.
He didn’t turn blue until he put it onto his face. His parents were passing away and had a lot of stress. He had a bad rash, and rubbed it on his skin to cure the skin problem. It wasn’t noticed for a while until he already turned blue. He said that he didn’t go out much. Then one of his friends visited and pointed it out that he was blue.
His wife knew him when he was blue and knew of this but talked with him over the phone for quite a while. The family sent a photo of him before they met in person so she could adjust to the blue skin.
Paul gets stares for the blue skin whenever he goes out in public. Dr. Oz said that he will never have regular color skin, and will be blue forever. Dr. Oz wanted to test his blood to see if there are any health problems that he should be concerned about.
Last time, Laura, an audience member on Feb 5th show is 44 years old but found out that her real age tested at 60 years. (She was the one that joked about the blueberries last time.) She agreed to work with Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen to work with her to improve her health. Talking with Dr. Oz she said that her mother quit smoking three packs a day and she gained a lot of weight and died. She is afraid to gain weight because that is what killed her mother. She tries to justify why she still smokes.
Dr. Oz introducers her to a patient that underwent surgery trying to scare her into perfect health and instead empathizes with the man. Dr. Oz said that stress is her worst ager. She cares so much for everybody else’s burdens that it is like she is taking on the stress of others upon herself. Dr. Roizen said that she was overall healthy, but she has a little bit too much fat. The great news all of her health problems are reversible. She said that she has followed Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen program to reverse her aging process.
The next segment on the show was about video diaries of people that were quitting smoking on camera. They kept a video diary of their quitting smoking. They all are having anxiety attacks the first day of quitting. The guy quitting said that he is so depressed. The one lady broke into tears that she wants to quit and said it is one of the hardest things she ever did. The three people that have quit smoking, one 9 days, another 15 days, and another did 6 days. The guy said that every day it gets easier after you quit.
One was the mother of a young daughter who was on her video diary. The little girl was explaining that mom and dad needed to stop fighting. The daughter spoke out about what is going on. The husband isn’t quitting smoking. Dr. Oz said that if someone in your house is smoking, you will likely fail because it will somehow trigger your old habits.
Dr. Oz suggested that she should withhold sex from her husband as incentive to have him quit smoking. Getting mad at him is not the solution. Dr. Oz said that the best way to quit smoking is to do it for somebody that you love, or for yourself.
In the audience were around 50 people that have quite smoking because of seeing the original show on Oprah for quitting smoking. Dr. Oz explained that on the Oprah.com website they have a quit smoking program to help you through the difficult process.
The next segment had a lady in the audience that said that she has multiple orgasms around 8 – 18 of them at a time. Oprah said “and your problem is?” She said that other relatives in her family also have the same problem. Dr. Oz said that the most erogenous portion of body is the brain. It could be genetic. Oprah joked about it, that after 12 you probably lose count. The lady said that the problem is that it is exhausting and she doesn’t want to have it as frequently. Oprah said that is not a problem and she should enjoy.
Another audience member said that she has facial hair on her chin and it really bothers her. She shaves her chin. If you don’t have regular periods and have a hard time losing weight she might have Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome. PCOS can also cause infertility, and can pre-dispose the person to diabetes. They tend to have more heart attacks. She didn’t have all the symptoms of PCOS. There are treatments that can help to reverse PCOS and treat the condition. Dr. Oz said that you can shave and it won’t make it come in more. Dr. Oz said that you can take pills to regulate testosterone hormone levels. Birth control pills can be helpful sometimes he said. There are other medications that can help to control the hormones as well he continued to explain. He said that you shouldn’t ignore it. Dr. Oz said that there is a laser treatment that can get rid of the hairs permanently. Dr. Oz said that he doesn’t like plucking as much as the shaving. Plucking can cause little pimples. He said you can also use a waxing technique for facial hair removal.
Jodie is 32 years old had all the symptoms of colon cancer after seeing the show on ‘Oprah’ she went in for a colonoscopy. She had a stage 3 colon cancer tumor. She had treatments for the cancer and is now cancer free. Dr. Oz said that he likes the show because it has helped people. She sought out to have a referral to see a specialist after seeing the show and was very thankful for Dr. Oz being on ‘Oprah.’
“Prescription America” is what Dr. Oz wants every one to take it home and cut out soft drinks. Dr. Oz said that the obesity epidemic is the matter of 100 calories a day. A soda has 160 calories and will eat an extra 125 calories. In a year you could lose about 15 pounds. Dr. Oz said that he is not a fan of diet sodas either but will discuss that at another time. Dr. Oz is asking everyone to cut out soft drinks for two weeks. If you need the caffeine drink green tea or coffee. He is more concerned about the sugar content in the sodas.
This is a tough thing to quite the sodas. We drink diet sodas only in our house and we decided to cut out sodas in January. My husband refused, but after a while he felt guilty and has cut way back. At first the kids were like, HUH! Why? And we restocked the fridge only with water bottles. Guess what they started drinking iced tea and water. We still have diet sodas but save it for family movie night or if we eat out once in a while. At first it is a little rough, but after a while you don’t miss it at all.
